American Library Association – Programming Librarian

programminglibrarian.org

The team at the American Library Association (ALA) recruited us to help re-organize and re-energize its popular Programming Librarian website, with a fresh, modern look designed to incentivize user engagement and encourage two-way sharing of best practices and new ideas.

We started with in-depth interviews of site users and collaborators inside and outside the organization, leveraging their feedback to evolve the site’s content structure and retool the site’s navigation and search features to help visitors quickly find (and share) relevant information. The re-launched site is decorated with compelling colors and eye-catching imagery that compels visitors to explore.

We thank our development partners at Freelock Computing for implementing our designs, and we applaud the ALA team for its vision and commitment to serving the community of library professionals who benefit from this essential planning tool.
