Project Overview

The business process innovators at ImageSource Inc. reached out to us while conducting a thorough update of the company’s brand and image. The marketing team wanted a website that reflected the energy and freshness infused in its new corporate mark, and they needed an online portal that gave customers multiple ways to explore, compare, and evaluate ImageSource’s products and services.

Additionally, website managers needed a compelling way to showcase the many individual solutions available through ImageSource’s proprietary ILINX® software platform, and a practical yet elegant way to share dozens of client case studies and display hundreds of online resources – including webinars, videos, articles, and blogs – while connecting that educational content back to ImageSource’s core offerings and value proposition.

Challenge

ImageSource’s legacy website was dense, text-heavy, and lacked the design and UX elements required to humanize the company’s largely technical business services, even though those services are intended to make human jobs easier.

The company’s signature ILINX® technology platform featured almost two dozen individual process and service offerings, which needed to be characterized and presented in the appropriate combinations to the primary industries ImageSource supports: eGovernment, Financial Services, Tribal Nations, Manufacturing, Healthcare, and Higher Education.

ImageSource’s legacy website presented no clear way to connect customer needs and questions to the company’s logical software and service solutions, which made it difficult for customers to find relevant content and construct a meaningful journey through the website to the point of asking for more information or follow up from a sales representative.

Organizing this information to link all the relevant parts would be similar to wiring the back of a telephone switchboard, and required a thoughtful strategy to make the right connections…and connect the dots for prospective customers.

Solution

Our web strategists and UX experts devised an elaborate but logical blueprint for tagging and connecting content types within the website’s content management system. This supported a revised information architecture that organized and rationalized the way customers could search for and examine the product information most relevant to them, by industry, process, and/or service, while accessing a multitude of online resources to help them understand and analyze options.

From the updated menu plan, our design team suggested a significant reimagining of ImageSource’s key landing pages, introducing more imagery, graphic art, animated color blocks and other design elements to better visualize and differentiate ImageSource’s business automation solutions – and how they interconnect – while supporting wayfinding through site content.

As part of the design refresh, our design team leveraged every aspect of ImageSource’s new visual identity, from fresh color palettes and typography to sleek iconography and uplifting imagery, featuring dozens of happy, human faces situated in a variety of work environments.

Outcome

With an information architecture that simplifies content creation and distribution throughout the site, ImageSource marketers can now link the key selling points of their ILINX® software platform directly to industries that benefit from them, while incorporating pertinent use cases and applications, client Success Stories, and relevant educational and thought-leadership materials into the web pages that sell their products and services. Additionally, the site now features individual product pages for every ILINX® software solution offered.

This allows the ImageSource team to seamlessly cross-pollinate content through the site and give customers a holistic view of ImageSource’s multitude of business automation solutions and how they streamline workflows.

Today, our crew of web strategists, designers, developers, and project managers continues to work with the ImageSource marketing team to enhance and iterate their site, including orchestrating major refreshes to the site’s homepage and key landing pages, to keep surprising and engaging the clients and prospects who visit ImageSourceInc.com for information, service, and support.
